Many new vegans email me and ask what I keep in my vegan pantry, so I thought I should post some photos and details of the food that I keep on hand at all times. These are the foods, spices and baking items that I always have in my kitchen because I use them so often.
Building a vegan pantry takes time, money, and patience, so if you’re new to vegan eating, try to take things slow. It can be a bit overwhelming otherwise!

I love you post very helpful to those just starting out and I have food storage envy haha I don’t have much cupboard space so I rotate the foods I buy. This is my ideal pantry. Thanks for sharing
Great post thanks for sharing this is my ideal pantry too! I don’t have a lot of cupboard space so I rotate the food that I buy. I’ve just started the vegan lifestyle too.
Thank you so much for this, I’m transitioning and trying to get my pantries and cabinets organized. This is going to set me up for success.
Great info! Thank you for posting this. I saw your site on Pinterest.
Thank you for this beautiful list.Your web site is such an inspiration to healthier meals and fun creations.
I am redoing my pantry today:)And your website is my starting inspiration point.A big thank you!
Hi there,
just found your website today and loving it. Your pantry list is just what I´ve been looking for. Thanks!!
Costco’s Kirkland brand semi-sweet chocolate chips are vegan and use fair trade cacao. I forget how much they are, but really reasonably priced.
I’ve read some items, like flax seed and ground flax seed will go rancid so they are best kept in the freezer and other items need refrigerated (tahini?). Is this true or can everything be kept in a pantry because I am LOVING the jar idea!!
My tahini is refrigerated, but not flax seeds. We go through them super fast, so have never had an issue with spoiling.
WOW! You have my dream, organized pantry. I will be buying jars this weekend! I love how you have everything in order.
Jars are the best for organizing!
Wow! That is the cleanest pantry I’ve ever seen. I love using mason jars too! It makes your pantry ideal easy for using what you have. Thanks for sharing! You are extraordinary in what you do.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Mason jars are my go-to organizing item in the kitchen!
